Bell Injects Shs150m in Kampala City Festival

Uganda Breweries Limited, under its Bell Lager brand has today announced its partnership of the fourth annual Kampala Capital City Authority Festival due in October 2015.

The brewery has this year committed over UGX150m to sponsoring the event that has so far dwarfed any other festival in the East African region.

The Kampala City festival is by far the biggest street party and outdoor gathering in East Africa, attracting a cross section of revelers

Speaking during a press briefing to make the announcement, Mr. Robert Nsibirwa, the Bell Lager Brand Manager at Uganda Breweries Limited said that the festival is instrumental in bringing the people of Kampala together to celebrate the city’s diverse and uniquecultures.

“We are pleased to be partnering with KCCA for the fourth consecutive year. The Kampala Festival is a great opportunity for the city’s residents to celebrate,network and prosper. As one of the pioneer sponsors of the event, we are still very committed to giving our people the best and that is why we continue to invest in activities such as this,” he said.

The Kampala City Festival is a signature brand that draws multitudes to Kampala every first Sunday of October to celebrate culture, unity and provides immense networking opportunities for business owners.

The 2014 festival attracted two million revelers, cutting across different age groups and races.

Bell Lager as the Platinum sponsor of the festival has promised that it will put up an exquisite event with various artistes and entertainers lined up.

The brewery has also promised that it will treat all its guests to a VIP experience like no other.

The Executive Director KCCA, Mrs. Jennifer Musisi lauded Uganda Breweries for sticking with the festival, since its inception.

“The festival is one of the most anticipated events for our citizens to share and learn while acting as an economic engine for organizations to grow. It provides a platform to celebrate the many things that set Kampala apart from other cities. We are very glad that Bell Lager has been with us throughout this exciting journey,” she said.

The Festival was started by KCCA in 2012 with a vision to bring the people of Kampala City and beyond, together to celebrate Uganda’s 50 years of Independence.

It has now turned into an annual event that Bell Lager is promising to elevate and help KCCA deliver more memorable experience through a world-class carnival-style display each year.The 2015 edition’s theme is ‘COLOUR AND CLIMATE CHANGE.’
