kiiza na michoUganda Cranes have Monday morning returned to Kampala in celebratory mood after holding Ghana to a 1-all draw on Saturday.

The team arrived at Entebbe International Airport minutes after midnight and immediately headed to camp to link up with other players including Geoffrey Massa and Brian Majwega who didn’t travel to West Africa for the match.

Meanwhile Portugal based defender Alex Kakuba has joined the Uganda Cranes camp at Sky Hotel in Nalya, Kampala. Coach, Milutin ‘Micho’ Sedrojevic’s side will train today (Monday) at 7.30 pm under floodlights the same time for the Wednesday kickoff.

“We have to train at the exact time of the match but all the players in camp have to prove their worth in today and tomorow, to be guaranteed a slot in the team,” Micho says.

Ghana will on Wednesday travel to face Togo, while Uganda will host Guinea at Namboole and their 25 man delegation is in the country ahead of the AFCON 2015 Qualifier against Uganda at Mandela National stadium, Namboole.

 

Guinea is being accommodated at Global Hotel in Makerere.
