Malingumu had an impressive first round with Rwenshama scoring six goals that made him a subject of interest from different clubs including Bright Stars with Coach Fred Kajoba revealing he would love to add him to his side.

The Matugga based club is yet to confirm any signing this transfer window.

Bright Stars had hoped to bring the former SC Villa attacker to partner Anthony Bongole and Hassan Kikoyo but the deal did not go through as Vipers Coach Edward Golola secured his signature in time.

The details of his contract are undisclosed but Golola hopes his acquisition will add pace and attacking options to the Buikwe side that has been dependent on their midfielders.

Meanwhile, Vipers striker Danniel Oriyoth will soon seal a move to Kenyan Premier League side Tusker FC after struggling to fit in the team since his transfer from Kakindu based BUL FC.

He is currently holding talks with the Kenyan club after being replaced by Julius Malingumu.

Vipers currently lead the Uganda Premier League table standings with 35 points.
