Centenary Bank Shines at 2nd Annual Financial Symposium in Kampala

Centenary Bank made a significant impact at the 2nd Annual Financial Symposium held on 8th July 2025 at the UMA Multipurpose Hall in Kampala. The event, which brought together leading players in the finance and manufacturing sectors, provided a platform for discussing trade finance solutions aimed at boosting the performance of Uganda’s manufacturing industry.

Joseph Balikuddembe, Executive Director of Centenary Bank, was the keynote speaker for the event. In his address, Balikuddembe emphasized the pivotal role of financial institutions in supporting the growth of local manufacturers through tailored trade finance solutions, which are crucial for the sector’s development and sustainability. He highlighted Centenary Bank’s commitment to driving economic growth by empowering manufacturers with financial tools that enhance production capacity and access to markets.

Joining him on the podium was Michael Jjingo, the General Manager of Commercial Banking at Centenary Bank. Jjingo participated in a lively panel discussion where he provided an in-depth overview of the bank’s offerings, including flexible financing options and specialized services designed for Uganda’s manufacturing community. He stressed the importance of building strong partnerships between financial institutions and manufacturers to ensure long-term success.

In recognition of its ongoing support for the manufacturing sector, Centenary Bank was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation during the symposium. The award was given in acknowledgment of the bank’s invaluable sponsorship of the event and its longstanding partnership with the Uganda Manufacturers Association (UMA).
