Equity Bank Pumps Sh.50m in Benny Hinn’s Crusade in Uganda
Equity Bank Uganda has donated Shs 50M to Pastor Robert Kayanja of Miracle Centre Ministries to support their upcoming 3-day crusade with renowned evangelist Benny Hinn.
The Shs50m cheque was handed over to pastor Kayanja by Equity Bank Uganda Director Public Sector & Social Investments- Catherine Psomgen, on Tuesday afternoon.
Equity Bank has over the years partnered with Pastor Robert Kayanja Ministries on key development work, including transformational agriculture in Karamoja which kicked off in 2023.
“The collaboration aligns with our purpose of transforming lives and giving dignity in vulnerable communities. It also aligns with our Affica Recovery and Resilience Plan goal of increasing support for agriculture, 30℅ of our total lending,” said Psomgen.
Born Toufik Benedictus on 3 December 1952, now known as Benny Hinn, he is an Israeli-born Palestinian-American-Canadian televangelist. He is best known for his regular Miracle Crusades—revival meeting or faith healing summits that are usually held in stadiums in major cities. These are later broadcast worldwide on his television program, This Is Your Day.
