Former Nigerian BBA Star Goldie Is Dead

Nigerian musician Goldie Harvey has passed away, according to Nigerian news sources.

Goldie, who has been dating Kenyan rapper Prezzo, is said to have passed on in a Nigeria hospital shortly after flying back home from the US where she attended the Grammy awards.

There has been no word from Prezzo but sources close to him say that she had indeed flown home from the US yesterday.

An administrator post on Goldie’s Facebook page shortly after midnight confirmed the rumors that had made rounds in Nigerian blogs that the former Big Brother Africa contestant had passed on.

“It is with heavy heart that I have to inform you all that goldie passed this night shortly after arriving Lagos from LA. May her soul rest in the eternal peace of the Lord,” Admin.

The family is yet to release an official statement on the reports.

Prezzo and Goldie met in the Big Brother Africa Star Game last year where thier relationship made headlines.

Before her shocking demise, Goldie, 29, was signed to Kennis Music label. She is known for her hit song ‘You know it (Gboko lowo e) ft eLDee; but it was her participation in the Big Brother All Star that turned her into a continental hit, and a household name in Nigeria and beyond.
