2013 BET Nominees Moze and Radio
Moze Radio and Weasel have lost the 2013 BET ‘Best African Act” award to Nigerian rapper, Ice Price who was nominated in the same category last year but lost to Wizkid.

Moze Radio and Weasel were quick to congratulate Ice Prince shortly after and resorted to popping champagne for the rest of the night. Drake who was absent from the ceremony had 12 nominations and only walked away with three that included; Video of the year, Collaboration and Coca-cola viewer’s choice Award.
“Tonyt we take a step to triumph..wherever we go we carry our nation with us..as da world converges to celebrate art, to celebrate talent from across the world, we are happy to have our great nation UGANDA mentioned in the loud screams..we already feel like winners to be here and if we win, we win for you our fans, our families our friends and nation..Uganda at the BET awards 2013…we made it here…” the duo twitted before the winner was announced.
“A battle well fought…big up Uganda for the love …n congratulations Ice Prince..we’ll fight another day..bless and thanks for the love.”Moze said after Ice Prince was declared winner.

Radio & Weasel, altho u didnt win the award, u a winner 2 me coz American Stella watched tons of Ugandan artists music videos frm 2012/2013 and otha African artists videos that r in English & are club songs. U were nominated coz of ur song, fantastic. Fact u beat otha UG artists & some artists frm otha African countries 2 be nominated on BET international act is a huge deal. All past & present winners of BET international act award lost one or more times b4 they won same award. What American Stella also said is ur video 4 Fantastic, there wasnt need 4 literal slow motion dancing & that the dancers can’t dance. Continue making great music but make betta quality videos like the Nigerians. Now United States knows your name, not just Ugandans.
This is the criteria American Stella (my friend) used to pick a song, BET asked her which UG artist to put on the BET International act nominees. To keep it fair she searched on YouTube. Criteria in this order:
1. If you aren’t singing in English, u disqualified cause she and USA dont speak/understand UG languages.
2. Song has to be a club song cause they memorable.
3. Quality of your music video.

In Radio and Weasel’s case they got 2/3 in criteria. Radio and Weasel I hope to see you and other Ugandan artists win some American awards (including BET) in the future.
