The owner of Nile High School in Mukono District, Yesse Mubangizi Kamanyire, has been killed in an accident along Masaka road.
The accident that happened Sunday morning at Lwera along the Kampala-Masaka highway saw the Mukono school founder who was being chauffeured in a Toyota Prado registration number UAV 310Y die while suddenly after being rushed to Nkozi Hospital as well as a boda boda rider.
The vehicle which was moving from Masaka side heading to Kampala was being driven by one Tumusiime William according to the territorial traffic police.
‘’The accident happened after a boda boda rider who was moving in front of the prado turned from left to right without indicating and in the process, the Prado driver tried to dodge the rider and ended up losing control of his vehicle, knocked the boda boda rider and killed him on spot’’, said Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Farida Nampiima, the Spokesperson for the traffic directorate
Nampiima revealed that Kamanyire, an occupant of the vehicle died moments after reaching Nkozi Hospital.
‘’Three other people who were passengers in the Prado including Kasagwa Ephraim a 72 year old, sustained serious injuries and he’s admitted at Nkozi hospital while Mugabi Philemon sustained minor injuries. The cause of the accident has been attributed to the boda boda rider who carelessly turned off from the road’’, she emphasized.
The boda boda rider has been identified as Lukyamuzi Samuel, a 42 year old.
Mubangizi Yese Kamanyire has been the Managing Director (MD) Nile High School Mukono, CEO Nile Villas, MD York Beverages Ltd and CEO Nile Valley Farms.
Mubangizi at St.Kagwa Bushenyi High School from 1985-1987. He joined at a time when the school had sent only one student to Makerere University; one Asan Kasingye, the now Assistant Inspector of Police.
Mubangizi was the best student scoring ABC 24 in Economics, Geography, History, General Paper and Sub Math and was admitted at Makerere University to do Bsc. Economics. He later did a Master’s degree in Economics.
