Uganda’s First Lady and Minister of Karamoja Affairs Janet Kataha Museveni received a grand welcome by Sri Lanka’s First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa and the teachers and students of Carlton pre-school on Wednesday on her arrival at the venue.

While appreciating the service rendered by Sri Lanka’s First Lady for the welfare of Sri Lanka’s children, Janet said that it is a good example to the whole world.

A special ceremony was organized by the Carlton Group of pre-schools at the Carlton Pre-school in Maligawatte to welcome the Ugandan First Lady Museveni. A dance performance and a musical show were staged by the students to entertain the visiting First Lady and the members of her delegation.

Janet Museveni also thanked Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa, the government and the people of Sri Lanka for the warm hospitality extended to them during their visit to Sri Lanka.

Janet Museveni had accompanied President Yoweri Museveni on a two day official visit to Sri Lanka on Monday.

Museveni is the first Ugandan leader to visit Sri Lanka in the last 35 years.
