Kategaya Not In Coma – Govt

Govt says First Deputy Prime Minister Eriya Kategeya is responding to treatment

Uganda’s Minister of Information and National Guidance Mary Karooro Okurut has dismissed media reports that Hon. Eriya Kategaya, the First Deputy Prime Minister is in a critical health condition saying he is responding to treatment in a Hospital in neighboring Kenya where he went after feeling unwell.
This is the first time the Government has come out to speak on the condition of the health of Minister for East African Community Affairs following media reports that the NRA bush war hero was in coma in a Nairobi Hospital after being hospitalized over the weekend.
However, while addressing the media at the Media Centre in Kampala, Okurut refuted the media reports describing them as “alarmist”.
Kategaya has had a long relationship with President Museveni that dates back to their primary school days at Kyamate Primary School in Ntungamo in the 1940s.
The Deputy Premier was a Resistance Officer (RO002) after Museveni (RO001) though he was not engaged in active combat during the 1981-86 bush war that catapulted the NRA into power.
Below is the Minister’s Full statement.
Hon. Kategaya in stable condition
Government wishes to inform all Ugandans that the Third Deputy Prime Minister Hon. Eriya Kategaya is in stable condition and responding well to medication in Nairobi Hospital.
This is contrary to the alarmist press reports earlier in the day which reported that Hon. Kategaya was in coma.
Hon. Kategaya felt unwell over the weekend and after consultations with his personal doctors, he was advised to shift to Nairobi Hospital where he is currently under doctor’s observations.
We therefore wish him quick recovery.

…………that dates back to their primary school days at Kyamate Primary School in Ntungamo in the 1940s. So these guys were in primary School in the 1940’s. Assuming they were 8 years then, my poor mathematics tells me they are around 81. Happy birth day Ba Mzee!!
You must be a very unlucky man to have started primary school at 8yrs old. But still you must be very lucky to have completed Primary 7 at 8yrs of age. Either you or your math teacher should be castrated hehe….. just sayin
Why go to Nairobi hospital and yet we have mulago? can any body explain to me.
