KCCA’s Brian Majwega Impresses South African Scouts

Uganda Cranes and KCCA FC attacking midfielder Brian Majwega has attracted the eyes of two scouts working for South African League champions, Mamelodi Sundowns FC.
One of the scouts Russel Molefe said during an interview at the Nyamirambo Stadium in Kigali, Rwanda during one of the games at the on-going Cecafa Kagame Club Championship, that Majwega has what they are looking for.

Majwega, who also scored one of the goals in the Cranes’ 2-0 home win over Mauritania in a 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifier last month, netted one of the goals in KCCA FC’s 2-1 win over Gor Mahia in the opening game.

Mandla Mazibuka who is based in Pretoria told reporters that they are in Kigali to look for players who have extra ordinary talent that fits in their project for Sundowns. He said everybody on the field can play football, but they want players who are extra ordinary.
Defender Haron Shakava who features for Kenyan League Champions Gor Mahia FC is another player who has attracted the attention of the scouts.

If Majwega continues to impress in the latter stages of the Cecafa, then he stands high chances of joining Uganda Cranes goalkeeper Dennis Onyango at Mamelodi Sundowns. Geoffrey Massa is the other Ugandan player featuring in the South African League for University of Pretoria.
KCCA are now in the quarter finals of the regional club event after seeing off Burundi’s Atletico FC 2-1 on Wednesday.
