Kitara Declares 33.1 millions collected from KCCA tie

If they are to talk about transparency in Uganda football on matters of what each club collects from gate collections then the Hoima based club Kitara football team under the chairmanship of Deo Kasozi is number one.
The based Hoima football club has strengthen its transparency in declaring how much they collect from gates since in fufa big league and people in football circles could be heard saying they think they will manage it, but since the club was promoted to Superleague the club has maintained its status core of making sure they have to declare what they gate on every home game at Masindi stadium.
Last week on Friday,  Kitara football team  made it four wins in a row since the start of the Startimes Uganda Premier league with a sweet victory of  3-1 over the Lord Mayors boys KCCA FC.
Goals from Kabon Living, Mucureezi and Prison Warder  Denis Omedi were enough for the Brian Ssenyondo coached side to register the fourth win but also thanks Gabriel the only consolation goal for the visitors.
Currently Kitara football team  sit second on the table standings behind Busoga based club Bul football team but level on twelve (12) points each.
According to the document seen by redpepper from the Kitara football club president Deo Kasozi the club collected over 33.1million shillings from   thousands of passionate football revellers who turned up to drum up support for the club at Masindi stadium.
With this great transparency levels, to people who see things moving in football teams, everyone is satisfied that the based Hoima football club is worth working with.
To watch the much anticipated game, tickets were respectively priced five thousand shillings for ordinary and thirty thousand shillings for VIP. The exact number of people who showed up for the game can’t be ascertained, but it was a well attended match, and Kitara made some good money.
“We wish to declare that we realized 33.1 million shillings from gate collections,” club president Deo Kasozi revealed in a media statement after the Friday game.
According to the club president, the money will be used in supporting the club activities as planned in their 2023-2024 budget.
Over the weekend the federation of Uganda football associations (FUFA) released the official document showing 1st division club owners 2023-2024 and Kitara is owned by ten people;  Musinguzi Denis with 15%, Atugonza Joshua with 15%, the rest; Nyaika Gilbert, Mugerwa Francis, Kaboyo Brian, Kirungi Andrew, Wakabi Pius, Nsabimana Emmanuel, Kaliisa Jude and Bamwenda Godfrey with only 8% each.
Meanwhile, after walloping KCCA at Masindi stadium now the club heads to Wakiso Giants  who were beaten by URA 1-0 at the Lugazi Mehta stadium
