The Cranes travel to Niamey, Niger on Sunday for four days of camping before connecting to Kumasi, Ghana for a 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifier match slated for September 6th.

Majwega pulled a muscle while featuring for KCCA FC last weekend in a play-off game against Rwanda’s Police FC in the Cecafa Kagame Club Championship in Kigali.

Majwega, who scored one of the goals in Uganda’s 2-0 win over Mauritania in the qualifiers, has been a pillar in the Cranes attack. Sredojevic said the Cranes’ medical doctor will decide if the player can make the trip or stay in Kampala because they want to take players who are 100% fit.

In an interview on Saturday, Micho said that he expects all the foreign-based players to connect toNiamey where they will also play an International friendly match on Tuesday. Niger is preparing to face Cape Verde in the 2015 Afcon qualifiers.

Four players who had traveled for trials with South African top side Bidvest Wits University are also expected to return on Saturday evening to join the team in Camp in Naalya. Robert Odongkara, Moses Oloya, Dennis Iguma and Savio Kabugo travelled last week for trials.

After the Ghana game in Kumasi, the Cranes who are expected to return on September 8th will host Guinea after two days at the Mandela National Stadium, Namboole. The match is expected to be played under floodlights starting at 7.30pm.

The government through the Ministry of Health has already issued conditions that the Guinea team has to follow as a precautionary measure against the Ebola virus that is ravaging at least five West African countries. Guinea is one of the countries hit by the deadly virus.
