Missing Kabale teacher found dead, body floating on River Rwabakazi

The body of a 4 8 years old educationalist in Kabale that has been missing for close one week has been found dead floating River Rwabakazi in Kabale District.
ASP Elly Maate the Kigezi Region Police spokesman, has identified the deceased I as Musekura Robert, a resident of Kabahesi cell, Buhara sub County in Kabale district.
Maate says that Sayuni Livingstone, Resident of Rukore cell, Muyanje ward in Bubare sub county Rubanda district reported the case to authorities that his brother in law Musekura Robert had disappeared.
From then, announcements were made over radio stations to help in tracing for the victim and in the process, his body was found in the waters of river Rwabakazi in Nyakahita cell, Kabale Municipality.
Maate says that a case was registered at Kabale police station on SD REF: 23/26/01/2024 and the homicide team from Kabale CPS was informed as disappearance, a case made and allocated to the homicide to investigate, On the January 28th 2024, the body of the victim was seen in the waters of river Rwabakazi and police was informed about it.
He says that The homicide team led by the O/C CID one D/SP Mukama Hakim visited the crime scene and the body retrieved from the water and taken to Kabale regional referral hospital mortuary for postmortem examination Body was identified by the wife to the deceased Jean Nyiramahoro Musekura.
Maate says that Musekura before he disappeared he left after he made a will which he left among the properties he left at his in law’s place as in his will it “read that the world is not his home and that he had enough personal frustration before asking his people to give him a decent burial as he indicated in the will where to bury him among others”.
The discovery comes a week after the body of a Church leader from the same district was discovered on the same waters after days of missing.
