Mwiri Old Boys Association(MOBA) has highlighted efforts to renovate facilities across the school, to improve the institution’s infrastructure and maintain its glory.
According to the details issued in the Easter message signed by Dr. Daniel R. Ruhweza, the President Mwiri Old Boys’ Association, the alumni’s facelift project targets infrastructure around the school which was founded by the Church Missionary Society on 25 September 1911.
‘’In addition to the great work that we shall continue to do, which has largely focused on the ‘hardware’ of the school (repairing the Dining hall roof, teachers’ houses, our former dormitories, the Chapel, the roads etc.), I call upon us to join hands in dealing with the ‘software’ – by mentoring these young men and walking life’s journey with them. We all have something we can share beyond financial contributions’’, reads in part Ruhweza’s message.
Dr.Ruhweza further urged all stakeholders including class teachers and house masters, to join the effort of giving their time, advice and talent in helping groom the young men at the school to achieve their fullest potential.
‘’We can invest in the five capitals of their lives – intellectual, spiritual, financial, relational and physical’’, he noted.
Relatedly ,Dr .Ruhweza reminded christians that Jesus repaired the relationship that had been broken down by sin and reconnected us with God the Father.
He said his sacrifice was so pleasing to God that at the start of His Ministry, as He got baptized by His cousin John quoting Matthew 3: 16-17 .
‘’In essence, Jesus was on a Mission and the Mission was for and on behalf of His father. It is for that reason that when he finally died on the cross, His last words were – Tetelestai (It is finished!) John 19:30 NKJV. It is therefore a Great Joy to us that He rose again and now is seated at the right Hand side of God the Father’’, reads Ruhweza’s Easter message.
Ruhweza emphasized that this is a special time for us to reflect on the amazing sacrifice that our Lord Jesus Christ made when He died for our sins.
