MTN in huge fans’ drive for cranes game
MTN UGANDA, the official sponsors of the national soccer team, the Cranes have embarked on a campaign to woo fans into Namboole stadium when Zambia visits for the second qualifying leg of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations. The telecommunications giants started last week by giving free match tickets to online fans that use social networks, facebook and Twitter.
Yesterday, 100 fans who won over the weekend were announced and will all receive free tickets worth Shs40,000. Facebook fans comment the words ‘Cranes Oyeeeeeeee’ and the first 25 and the last comments before 11:30am are considered for the tickets. MTN which has 58,117 followers on facebook, will carry out this massive campaign until October 4.
More Good News Uganda Cranes defender Henry Kalungi’s debut was a thrill as the Rail Hawks advanced to the semifinals with a commanding 3-1 win over the Fort Lauderdale Strikers. The semi will be played on Saturday October 6 which implies Kalungi cannot link up with the Cranes until next Sunday or Monday. After joining the side just last week from Richmond Kickers, he was quickly drafted into the team that played on Saturday by coach Colin Clarke.
Uganda need to beat Zambia by a two-goal margin to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations for the first time since 1978. The team enter residential camp on Monday and training continues at the Namboole outside pitch. The match will take place next Saturday at Namboole with the winner earning a ticket to South Africa next year. Zambia can lose or draw and still qualify thanks to their first leg 1-0 win.

we the fans of Uganda cranes we are not happy with fee of(40000) watching the game on 13th oct,reason that those people who will pay will not shout or make noise to boost the team.
