Florence Nebanda supports the idea

Butaleja woman MP, Florance Nebanda has attributed the increasing domestic violence in the district to failure by young babes to seek support from their aunties (Sengas). She said this while speaking during Mothers Union Celebrations at Kapisa Parish Church, few days back.

Nebanda noted that majority of young married couples always visit traditional herbalists when they develop misunderstandings in homes which she said is quite risky.

“Young women are engaged in doing office work and don’t have time to visit their sengas (aunties) for help on how to ‘pull’and maintain a home. “She urged married couples to always seek guidance from religious leaders in case of misunderstandings in their homes instead of contacting herbalists.
