Preparations are in high gear as the Lango Sub-Region gets ready to welcome Captain Mike Mukula, the Regional Vice Chairperson of Eastern Uganda. The visit comes ahead of his political ambitions for the 2025-2026 polls, as he continues his nationwide tour to rally voter support.
Lango NRM delegates are organizing in full force to receive Captain Mukula in grand style. Speaking to our reporter on Monday, August 4, 2025, JB Lucky, an NRM delegate from Lira City, praised Mukula as a seasoned leader with deep-rooted experience in the party.
“The Eastern Region is shining brightly because our Regional Vice Chairperson is a tested and trusted NRM stalwart who understands both the challenges and opportunities at the right time,” Lucky said.
He added that Captain Mike Mukula is the ideal leader to drive societal transformation and development, given his long-standing commitment to the NRM and his track record of service to the nation.
Tony Olipa, the NRM Chairperson for Lira City West Division, echoed these sentiments, describing Mukula as a visionary, intelligent, and compassionate leader who prioritizes the welfare of his people.
“I urge my fellow colleagues to unite and support his noble cause. Let us stand firmly behind him to ensure his success in the position he seeks,” Olipa stated.
Currently, Captain Mukula is receiving overwhelming support across the country as he promotes his transformative manifesto, which aims to improve the lives of all Ugandans when re-elected as Eastern Uganda’s Regional Vice Chairperson.
Western Region Declares Full Support for Mukula
Last month, Bushenyi and other parts of the Western Region expressed 100% support for Captain Mike Mukula, declaring that he would win by a landslide if elections were held today.
Analysts attribute this confidence to Mukula’s exceptional mobilization skills, extensive political experience, and strong connections within NRM structures. Despite being from Eastern Uganda, his influence spans nationwide, with particularly strong backing in Western districts such as Mbarara, Bushenyi, Hoima, Kasese, Kyenjojo, Ibanda, and Kabarole.
His ability to connect with grassroots party members, coupled with his unwavering loyalty to President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and NRM values, has earned him widespread admiration.
Mukula’s political maturity, discipline, and dedication to national unity further solidify his standing as a preferred leader beyond regional boundaries. As Uganda approaches another critical political season, one thing is clear: Captain Mike Mukula commands massive support, and if elections were held today, he would secure a landslide victory in the Western Region.
