It was  all green, black and white at the Red Pepper premises in Namanve last Friday evening when the Heineken team stormed the Pepper Publications home for their campaign dubbed ‘Road to Champions League Finals’

As the activities went on, the Red Pepper scribes mingled with the team from Heineken during a cocktail courtesy of the European league main sponsors.

Red Pepper’s Frank Twinomugisha and Anthony Arebahoona emerged winners of the Foosball competition. They received juicy gift hampers from Heineken. Kagwa said they chose to visit Red Pepper in their campaign ‘Road to the Finals’ because it is among its top most partners. She noted that Heineken is different from other brands because they don’t stop at the bar but also ‘raid’ places of work to socialise and network.

While welcoming the Heineken team, Red Pepper’s Director in charge of Marketing and Digital Media, Arinaitwe Rugyendo, hailed the brewer for the landmark visit. He pledged that the Red Pepper would propel the beer to the furthest corner of the country using its brands. He said, “This is a good partnership, because no beverage has ever done this for Red Pepper, so be rest assured that using our products, Heineken will reach all corners of the country.” The ‘Road to the Finals’ campaigns will conclude on May 25 with two German teams; Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund squaring off at Wembley stadium in London.

Kagwa said Heineken will host a big event for Ugandans, with the match being broadcasted on big screens. She added that many prizes will be won on that day.
