Rwampara District is one of the areas in Western Uganda that is anticipated to be blood-shed in the coming polls, especially on the woman Member of Parliament seat between the Incumbent Molly Asiimwe and her tormentor Anna Kansime, the former Aspirant.

Speaking to this publication, Anna Kansiime who lost the previous woman MP election for Rwampara District to Asiimwe has threatened to cause blood-shed if Molly’s camp, security and the electoral team try to tamper with her votes in the next election.   In the previous election, Kansiime’s camp had fierce reactions against NRM Electoral Chairman Dr. Tanga Odoi over corruption following results that declared Asiimwe as the winner. However, Kansiime alleged that there was vote rigging involved and was geared by bribes between electoral officials headed by Tanga Odoi and Asiimwe’s camp.

Kansiime has now announced how she is well prepared to smash any person who will attempt to cheat her votes in the next election. She reveals that she has silently investigated how her votes were rigged by Asiimwe with her subordinates  and aides. Kansiime said that she has revised enough, she expressed that in the next election she will do something shocking to the entire country.

“I want to warn those who are waiting to come and disrupt our election of the Rwampara woman MP seat,  if you are wise better keep away or die in Rwampara. Whether you are Tanga Odoi or anybody, dare you rig my votes you will live to be an example in the history of Uganda, If it means blood-shed we are ready to cause it as long as they tamper with my votes. I am no longer frightened or threatened by Asiimwe’s money, if it means putting hundreds of millions of money in the next election, I have it even more than hers and I will put in it, all I want is free and fair elections” said Kansiime

” I want to inform the public especially the people of Rwampara that in the previous elections I was caught unaware, I didn’t know my boundaries very well, I didn’t know the boundaries of the incumbent and boundaries of the security, but this time am well conversant, if it means messing we shall mess up with whoever that will tamper with my votes. I want to inform the security to stand warned. I experienced a bad situation during the last election and I learnt a lot from those polls, for example I was not expecting Dr. Tanga with his education level to do what he did, since now I know he can do it, I am ready for everything, that’s why I am putting in my little resources. Am neither fearing nor intimidated. And I can tell that the incumbent MP is already shaken, I want to inform Asiimwe that being an incumbent does not mean that she will influence  the ground or the community and she can not force the people to love her, actually the resistance she is facing on the ground would have led her to exit. I am not fearing Asiimwe at all because she knows how she got that seat and she can’t use the same method she used the last time to win the coming election, am ready for her.

As Kansiime I will not judge her performance in her tenure as far as service delivery is concerned, but its the role of voters who will evaluate and give the recommendation, if she has done what she was supposed to do, people will reward her” she added

Kansiime was a district councilor in Mbarara District before Rwampara was cut from Mbarara District, she later joined the race for Woman MP seat Rwampara District in 2021. After the elections she joined KCCA where she is currently working. She is a seasoned and vocal politician.
