UBOS Revises Release Dates for Key Survey and Census Reports

Kampala– Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) has revised its release calendar for several completed surveys and census reports, in a move aimed at keeping the public updated on the availability of key national data products.
According to the UBOS Principal Public Relations Officer, Didacus Okoth, the revised schedule follows an earlier communication issued on April 2, 2026. The announcement was made on Wednesday evening.
Under the new schedule, the Uganda Aquaculture Census (UAC) Report 2025 was released on April 30, 2026. The Uganda Business Inquiry 2019/2020 report will now be published online on May 21, 2026 at 8:00am.
UBOS also confirmed that the Uganda Harmonized Indicator Survey (UHIS) Reports for Wave I and Wave II covering 2021–2024, together with Wave III 2025, will also be released on May 21, 2026.
Meanwhile, the Baseline Education Census (BEC) Report 2025 is expected to be released on May 28, 2026.
The Bureau thanked users for embracing previously published reports and utilizing them in planning, research and public debate. Some of the recently released reports include the Uganda Malaria Indicator Survey (UMIS) Report 2025 published on March 12, 2026, the Orphans and Other Vulnerable Children (OVC) Census Monograph 2024 Volume IV released on March 19, 2026, and the Multi-Dimensional Poverty Index (MPI) Census Monograph 2024 Volume V published on March 26, 2026.
Other reports already disseminated by the Bureau include the National Population and Housing Census 2024 Community Module Volume VI released on April 9, 2026, the Labour Market Survey Report 2025 published on April 16, 2026, and the National Human Resource (Manpower) Survey Report 2023/24 released on April 23, 2026.
UBOS noted that all published statistical products are accessible through the official UBOS website.
The Bureau further reminded the public that it continues to publish regular statistical products every last working day of the month. These include the Consumer Price Indices (CPI), Construction Input Price Index (CIPI), and the Producer Price Index for Manufacturing and Utilities (PPIM & U).
Other periodic publications include the Residential Property Price Index (RPPI) and quarterly estimates of Gross Domestic Product (GDP), which remain critical tools for economic planning and policy formulation in Uganda.
