Exclusive info reaching our gossip is that a US based studio is set to produce content for Uganda and the rest of Africa markets.
Snoops have since learnt that the US based-Uganda owned television company E World Media Group, has signed a three year partnership deal with two of the world’s leading television studios-Asylum Entertainment and Pilgrim Studios to produce first class TV content for Africa markets.
According to sources, with this deal, E world media group has access to Asylum and Pilgrim’s full catalogue of shows and movies rights to use their current formats on the African market.
According to E world media group’s Isaac Kigozi, besides from around 100 pieces of equipment that will be imported as a result of this deal, the Film and TV Industry will benefit from roughly 15 top-tier professionals arriving from both Pilgrim and Asylum.
According to Steve Michaels, founder and CEO Asylum Entertainment, they are committed to providing quality content with an international flair, which is going to benefit the various African communities by establishing a larger, more robust, and active job market.
Steve Michaels added that, “E World Media Group knows what stories need to be told in order to help bring Uganda into the spotlight, and also which shows should be adapted from abroad to raise the bar of what is currently considered the cultural status quo”.
Pilgrim Studios is essentially the No. 1 independent Entertainment Studio in the world that has produced an enormous amount of programming for most of the best networks out there like discovery, history, syfy, lifetime, national geographic channel and many others.
