Mubende police is holding fourteen persons arrested over the recent murder of two people in Mubende town.

Mubende district police commander Enock Abaine said that two people were last week killed at Kirungi village and five families robbed of their properties and money.
The suspects who are under police custody include seven prostitutes whom according to police have been conniving with thugs to terrorize communities. They are accused of involvement in the recent robberies and murder cases that rocked Mubende town council.
In one of the murder incidences, Abaine said the deceased had hired a prostitute, but other people went following them, and he was stabbed from his house.
He adds that such cases went up during the recent festive season but police has deployed massively to curb them.
Abaine explained that the suspects arrested are being interrogated to give police more information about the criminals and some are facing charges of murder.
