The iKon awards film and Television were flagged off on 1st June 2022. The event brought together filmmakers, producers, and creatives worldwide. The creative industry in Uganda is at its inception and it’s one of the first growing industries in this country. Through the iKon initiative, the SAUTIplus media hub aspires to create more awareness about the value of creatives. Having an idea is excellent but visibly expressing and bringing that idea to reality is something that everyone cannot do.
