National Population Census set for 24th – 25th August 2023
KAMPALA – Periodically, National Population Housing census is conducted every after 10yrs. In Uganda it was last held in 2014.
Chris Baryomunsi, the State Minister for information and National Guidance confirmed that next year ‘S Census will be held on 24th – 25th August 2023.
He further more revealed that the night of 24th August leading into 25th August the numerators will count the people according where they would have spent that night.
Uganda Bureau of Statistics working closely with different Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies as well as Local Governments will help to undertake the Census exercise.
This will be the 5th Census exercise for post-independence in Uganda.
