Defence PS donates medical equipment worth millions to Kabale regional referral hospital

The permanent secretary of the ministry of Defence, Rosette Byengoma has made a personal donation of an assortment of medical equipment worth millions to Kabale Regional Referral Hospital as part of her social corporate responsibility.

Canon Ivan Mbabazi the Kigezi Tourism Cluster chairperson and Director of Voice of Kigezi FM radio representing the permanent secretary of the ministry of Defence, Rosette Byengoma Delivered 40 beds complete with 40 mattresses , 2 operating tables, 10 baby cots 1 patient trolley to Kabale Regional Referral Hospital this Safe Motherhood Week
The items were received by the Kabale district Deputy Resident commissioner Andrew Ronald Bakak and handed them over to the Kabale regional referral hospital principal administrator Regina Mugisa on behalf of the hospital board and the director Dr Filbert Nyeko.
Mbabazi said the items were mobilized by Byengoma from her friends and the family members to support the health services at Kabale regional referral hospital which serves six districts of Kigezi Sub-region.
He asked hospital administrators to take good care of the delivered supplies.
Receiving the donation at the hospital in Kabale municipality, Bakak and Mugisa commended Byengoma for her generosity saying that the supplies have come at time when the hospital has been in the dare need of the items.
They expressed optimism that the supplies will boost the health services at the hospital and hence asked people to improve on their health seeking behaviors.
