Savio Kabugo Fit For Zimbabwe Clash
The 18-year-old is racing against time to be past fit for the do-or-die encounter against the Tanzanians
Uganda Cranes defender Savio Kabugo says he is fit for Thursday’s CHAN encounter against Zimbabwe after shaking off a slight knock.
The SC Victoria University back was stretchered off during the 2-1 win over Burkina Faso to received medical treatment but he says it was nothing serious.
“I clashed with Burkinabe striker after we went for a low ball and he got my shin that is why I had to be stretchered off and attended to by the doctor,’ he told Red Pepper Online edition on chat from Cape Town.
“But I no longer feel any pain and should the coaches select me, I will be ready.”
Team doctor Ronald Kisolo has also added that medically the whole squad including Kabugo will be available for selection.
Kickoff is at 6.00pm.
