Besigye elected President
Anselm Besigye, the son of FDC’s Dr. Kizza Besigye has won the race to become president of the Oxford debating club.
“He’s won! Anselm -elected president of his school debating club. A Proud Mum… He’s won! Anselm -elected president of his school debating club. A Proud Mum. @kizzabesigye1,” Winne Byanyima who is the Oxfam International Executive Director tweeted.
Recently, his campaign film went viral on social media arousing response from the politically sensitive citizens. The campaign video was filmed by his mother.
In 2014 at the Belmont Hill School, Anselm scooped a trophy in a school based debate about the fundamental issues like minimum wage for the working class people in society.
The debate in which the topic of discussion was to argue, whether the minimum wage in the US should be raised from $7.25 to $10.10, Anselm came out the best and was handed a trophy.
