CAA Connived With Police To Arrest Me — Besigye

Opposition Icon Rtd. Col. Dr. Kizza Besigye has revealed that Civil Aviation Authority connived with Uganda Police to arrest him upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport on Monday Morning.

“We arrived on time, i was there by 8:15am as we had appointed. The goons were waiting at the steps of the aeroplane, this time putting on uniform of Civil Aviation Authority. Can you imagine the death of our institutions?” Besigye Narrated

He says they whisked him away to the old airport.

“I was pulled out of the Civil Aviation Authority vehicle and the thrown into a police vehicle.”

Besigye narrated his ordeal to journalists at a media briefing at his home in Kasangati where he later hosted his supporters.
