Navio’s Kata and GNL’s Power were the most awarded videos in the first ever Club Music Video Awards in Uganda held at UMA main hall Lugogo on Friday September 20.

Kata video scooped three awards in yesterday’s video awards, thanks to Fred Kigozi, Viccy , Rosmary, Necessary Girls and Hip-hop  rapper Navio for coming up with a great video.

Kata Video scooped the awards in the categories of Best Choreography, Best Costume and Makeup and Best Set design.

GNL Zamba’s Power video was also among the most awarded video.

Power was awarded in the categories of best Cinematography, Best video Directing and Best Male video of the year.

Kino Musoke GNL Zamba and Baboon Forest entertainment were awarded for the work done while coming up with the power video.

The Gaetano Kaggwa and Carol Mugasha hosted show kicked off at 6pm with a light dinner and club beer being served to the revelers.

Golola Moses the only man, who slapped the doctor when he was born surprisingly, appeared on stage not to do kick boxing but comedy.

He entertained revelers with jokes from the poor English of his recent opponent Titus Tugume.

There were performances from Joanita Kawalya of Afrigo Band, Naava Grey, Ruyoonga, Cindy, Jackie Chandiru, Toniks and the crowds went wild when Rapper Navio hit the stage while performing his popular song Ngaro.

Winners of the night were seen chanting while the losers consoled themselves by drowning in the free booze that was at the venue.

Best Duo or Group: Fantastic by Radio and Weasel

Best Collaboration: Why by Maro ft Gravity

Best New comer of the Year: Stay by Amaru

Female Video of the Year: Stay by Amaru

Male Video of the Year: Power by GNL Zamba

Lifetime Achievement Award: Moses Matovu of Afrigo Band

The Club Music video awards came to an end with a great performance from Keko though she failed to scoop any award at the event.
