Coach Bobby Names Team To Face Rwanda’s Amavubi

Uganda Cranes coach Bobby Williamson has named his 22-man team to start training ahead of the International friendly game against Rwanda in Kigali on February 6.
The Scottish born coach has included four African based professional players on his squad.
Gor Mahia striker Dan Sserunkuma who was voted Kenya’s Best player for 2012 is among the professionals invited together with Hamis Kiiza (Young Africans, Tz), Brian Umony (Azam, Tz) and goalkeeper Abel Dhaira (Simba, Tz). However, the FA will wait to see if Sserunkuma will honour the invitation after failing to appear when he was invited for the 2012 Cecafa Tusker Senior Challenge Cup.
The other key players who were part of the Cecafa Tusker Senior Challenge Cup winning team in December and are invited include Hassan Wasswa, Dennis Iguma, Saidi Kyeyune and Hamza Muwonge.
Although the two teams will not field their first teams, they will use the build-up to prepare their teams for the up-coming 2014 World Cup qualifying ties.
Rwanda will be facing Mali, while the regional champions Uganda battle Liberia in the World Cup qualifiers in March.
Tanzania who beat 2012 African champions Zambia 1-0 last month in a friendly match in Dar es salaam will host Cameroon, while Kenya play Libya with all games being played on February 6.
