Eng. Jonard Asimwe Officially Joins NRM CEC Race for Western Uganda
It’s no longer a rumour , Eng. Jonard Asimwe has officially declared his candidature for NRM Vice Chairperson Western Uganda after paying the nomination fees and fulfilling most of the party requirements.

This marks a great milestone for the people of Western Uganda and the entire NRM fraternity, as a humble, patriotic, and development-focused leader enters the executive race to uplift and transform the party’s future.
Eng. Asimwe is deeply committed to championing pro-people, inclusive, and service-driven policies. His leadership is rooted in practical impact and a vision that speaks to the grassroots.
In the oil and gas sector, he has been a pillar of progress — directly facilitating the creation of over 15,000 jobs and opening up opportunities for economic empowerment across the country.
In infrastructure development, he has been instrumental in road upgrades, stadium and airport improvements — bringing services and connectivity closer to the people.
In the area of Information Technology, he is a visionary, having launched Space Clubs in schools to introduce young learners to the world of science, space exploration, and digital innovation. He believes early exposure to technology is the foundation of a future-ready generation.
