Fresh Graduates Must Work Hard — Oulanyah
The Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Jacob Oulanyah has encouraged new graduates of Sparkles Institute to start humble and be hardworking in all their ventures in life.
Oulanyah made these remarks at the graduation ceremony of Sparkles Institute at UMA Show grounds on Saturday, 27th August 2016.
The Deputy Speaker said that it was important and realistic to start small in every business venture with the dream of growing big.
“I am greatly inspired by the story of Sparkles which started small as a little outfit in the New Taxi Park. Today, we have Sparkles in almost every new building in town which employs over 100 people,” Oulanyah said.
He went on to say that those who start big in work or business wind up failing because they lack the concept and discipline of toiling to grow.
Oulanyah quoted the Bible saying, “Do not despise small beginnings for they eventually turn out to bear great results.” He added that there is no shortcut in life to succeed but to work hard.
Oulanyah encouraged the graduates to let the above principal of hardwork and humble beginnings be the story of their business, lives, and country. He told them to work hard, earn money and develop the country.
The Deputy Speaker thanked the management of Sparkles Institute for sourcing and providing employment to its new graduates.
The Institute had 136 students graduating with certificates and diplomas in hairdressing, cosmetology, beauty therapy and fashion & design.
Sparkles Institute was established in 2013 to offer theoretical and pratical education to expand knowledge in vocational courses. The Institute has recently acquired Malaika Vocational Institute which will form a grand skilling organisation.
