FSL: Table leaders KCCA take on a Resurgent SC Villa

URA's Phillip Sempira(L) and former SC Villa skipper Stephen Bengo face-off last season. The Ugandan league kicks off in fortnight’s time

Table leaders KCCA FC face a test of their credentials when they battle second placed Sports Club Villa in a FUFA Super League tie at Nakivubo Stadium.
Hussein Mbalangu, SC Villa’s new Coach told our reporter that they are going to play a game of their lives because they realize winning the trophy is now a possibility. The former Villa forward is relying on his youthful side to secure points from KCCA.
In-form players Steven Bengo, Ronald Muganga and veteran Hakim Magumba are expected to play a pivotal role for Uganda’s most successful. But former SC Villa striker Herman Wasswa, now with KCCA, will be the player to watch as the current league top scorer could torment his former employers.
The usually cautious KCCA Coach George Nsimbe says he is taking every game like a final and that his boys are aware of the importance of the game. Cranes midfielder Hassan Mawanda Wasswa, who is returning to full fitness as he awaits his switch to the PSL League in South Africa with Free State Stars, is also expected to make the first team for this vital match.
URA FC who bowed out of the CAF Champions League two weeks ago will battle Proline FC, while defending champions Express FC host Masaka FC at their Wankulukuku Stadium. Smarting from a recent 5-0 thumping by KCCA FC, Express will be out to show their fans that they are not a team to suffer two consecutive defeats.
Vipers SC who battle Water could reclaim their second position if they win and SC Villa fall to KCCA. The two other matches on card will see Bidco taking on Simba, while Police face Entebbe FC.
