Heavy Police Deployment At Besigye’s Home

Police deployed heavily at Dr. Kiiza Besigye and Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago’s homes Sunday morning and stopped them from accessing the city
According to FDC’s Chairperson Women league Ingrid Turinawe , DPC Chaemonges was in charge of the operation.
“DPC Chaemonges in-charge. Hundreds of Police deployed at Dr. Besigye home. He has been blocked from going to church.” Ingrid Turinawe posted on her Facebook page.

We have learnt that police was concerned that Besigye and Lukwago wanted to join Kampala revelers to celebrate the Kampala City Festival.
The two opposition politicians have on several occasions been kept under preventive arrest fearing that they would cause chaos in the city if they held rallies.
