How Ankole Prince Henry Katanga was Shot Dead in Mbuya
A renowned city businessman identified as Henry Katanga has been shot dead following an alleged heated quarrel with his wife Molly Katanga at their residence in Mbuya, an upscale Kampala suburb on Thursday morning.
The incident has left the community in shock, prompting Police to investigate the matter to ascertain the truth.
Information which this website couldn’t independently verify indicates that Mr Katanga and his wife were involved in a domestic fight that took a deadly turn.The dispute escalated to a point where a firearm was allegedly used.
What remains unknown is whether Mrs Katanga knows how to use gun (pistol) by discharging a bullet which ended her husband’s life.
The scene was visited by DIGP Katsigazi Tumusiime, together with KMP Commander, RPC, RCIO, OC Station Jinja Road, DCID, and Cyber Crime Officer ASP Kayuzi among others.
‘’The body of a man was found lying in a pool of blood on the mattress which was down in the master bed rood with a wound on the head which seemed to be as a result of a bullet. One Katanga Tricia a daughter to the decesed identified the deceased as Katanga Henry male adult aged 61 years a munyakole by tribe, a business man a resident of mbuya hill in Nakawa Division Kampala District ‘’, Police said in a statement today.
Tricia said that her father Katanga Henry first had a mis understanding with her mother Molly Katanga and later she heard a gunshot in the bed room.
She rushed to the Bed room and she found Katanga Henry leaning on the bed with blood coming out of his head and her mother lying on the ground unconscious
‘’That One Katanga Molly was rushed to IHK for treatment by the farmilly members before arrival of police’’, the Police added.
A pistol no.UG 16222 00061 CZ99 COMPACT was recovered. Some family members who were at the home at time of the incidence were arrested
The source added that there have been over 20 versions of the incident and it remains unclear what exactly could have happened that resulted into the businessman’s death. Both the husband and wife run a procurement and supplies firm.
The Family over the weekend held a massive function for their daughter’s giveaway.
