Kalangala Woman MP survives Deadly Accident

Kalangala District Woman Member of Parliament, Idah Nabayiga, survived a deadly accident when the car in which she was travelling in over turned several times.
The Toyota Corona Reg No UAS 953V rolled near Nabugabo junction on the Masaka–Bukakata stretch as the lawmaker dashed to officiate at a church function on Monday.
“The vehicle overturned and we never expected anyone to come out alive; luckily, we managed to get them all alive although the MP’s driver was severely injured.” Rebecca Nabikolo an eye witness said.
Both the MP and the driver Kenneth Lukyamuzi were rushed to Masaka Regional Referral Hospital where the latter remains admitted.
Nabikolo attributed the accident to over speeding.
This could be a reason as to why MPs badly want Shs200M for cars thinking some big cars can hardly face these minor challenges compared to small one.
