Kampala City Capital Authority FC end their 6-year absence from Africa with a 2014 CAF Champions League visit to Al Merriek of Sudan.

The Uganda champions will travel to Khartoum for their preliminary first leg match during the weekend of February 8.
KCCA, who last played CAF inter-club football in 2007, will later host Al Merrick in Kampala on February 15 in the return leg decider.
Al Merrieck are not new to Ugandan opposition after playing different local clubs CECAFA Club Championships and a host of friendly games back and forth.
Winner over both legs will host Mbabane Swallows of Swaziland or Zambian champions Nkana in the first round, first leg during the weekend of February 28 and later play away on March 8 for a place in the pre-group stage.
And should KCCA successfully negotiate the second round, they could face Egyptian giants Zamalek for a place in the group stage.
But Zamalek must first eliminate AS Dounes of Niger in the preliminary round for a second round date against either  Kabuscpor of Angola or Cote d’Or from the Seychelles.
