KCCA Gets 20bn For Kampala Roads

Kampala Capital City Authority is set rehabilitate six roads in the Nakasero Area, Red Pepper Online has just been told.
The rehabilitation, which will include upgrade of some of the bumpy roads in that section of the city, will be undertaken by Energo Projekt, the company that won the contract.
The roads include; Nakasero Road, Lumumba Avenue, Buganda Road, Lourdel Road, Wandegya and Queen’s Lane.
The KCCA Head of Public & Corporate Affairs, Peter Kaujjju says the works will cost 19.2 billion Uganda shillings
“We expect the Contractor on site soonest. But in the meantime, KCCA has also commenced work on the drainage and marking of various Black spots in the city,” he told Red Pepper Online this morning.
The fixing of these roads is expected to improve the navigation around the city.
