KCCA FC drew 0-0 with Tanzanian giants Simba FC to move closer to qualification for the Mapinduzi Cup quarterfinals in Zanzibar.

Coach George Nsimbe’s side has four points after beating KMKM FC 3-2 in their opening match early this week and remained top of the Group B with better goal difference than Simba FC.
“I am happy that we played well and should have won the game.
These games are giving my players good training ahead of the CAF Champions League game against El Merreikh of Sudan,” Nsimbe said  from Zanzibar.
He said goalkeeper Jamal Salim, Herman Wasswa and Tony Odur played well against Simba.
In the other Group B game played at the Amaan Stadium, KMKM FC held Kenya’s AFC Leopards to a barren draw.
The two teams each have one point.
In the last group matches slated for January 5, Simba will battle KMKM FC, while AFC Leopards take on KCCA FC.
A draw for Simba and KCCA FC will see the two side’s storm to the quarterfinals.
Action continues today with another Ugandan side, URA FC facing Mbeya City (Tanzania), while Azam FC (Tanzania) takes on Tusker FC (Kenya) and Ashanti FC (Tanzania) battle Pemba Clove Stars (Zanzibar).
