Kenya’s AFC Leopards Confirm Ali Feni Signing

Ali Feni in action for URA last season.

After negotiations over the course of the last few days, Kenyan giants AFC Leopards have officially confirmed the signing of Ali Feni on a free transfer after he was released from Uganda Revenue Authority. The Ugandan joins the Nairobi side on a 1 year contract, which will see him stay at the club until mid 2015.
Negotiations about Feni’s contract length did take longer than expected to be resolved, but AFC and the midfielder cum striker who topscored in the Uganda Cup last term with 7 and 13 in the league finally made an agreement earlier today, after which they immediately made the deal official.
This was confirmed by AFC Leopards Organizing Secretary Timothy Lilumbi in an interview with Goal.com Kenya adding that the club has also signed former Mathare United forward Kenneth Wendo and student Godfrey Kegode.
“We have managed to get the signatures of Feni Ali Mahmoud from Uganda Revenue Authority (URA), former Mathare United forward Kenneth Wendo and student Godfrey Kegode,” Lilumbi said.
Feni is however yet to get his International Transfer Certificate (ITC) before he can be allowed to play in the Kenya Premier League.
