Magistrate Who Summoned Kayihura Dies Mysteriously

The Makindye Court chief magistrate Richard Mafabi, 51, has met a mysterious death.

Mafabi who is much known for his brevity in summoning the IGP Kale Kayihura over criminal charges, allegedly collapsed and died on Sunday October, 02.

The cause of his death is not yet established, but relatives suspect heart attack.

Judiciary Spokesman Erias Kisawuzi expressed shock over Mafabi’s demise, saying he looked in good health when they met at a workshop at Royal Suites in Bugolobi on Friday, last week.

The Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago described Mafabi as someone who upheld a respectable and levitated constitutional democracy, purity of the judiciary, sanctity of individual dignity, sacrosanct of the rule of law.

The burial programme, according to Kisawuzi would be released after consulting Mafabi’s family members.
