Man Beheaded in Kampala, Head Taken

Residents of Namuwongo, a Kampala City suburb in Makindye Division were on Monday this week covered with shock when they landed on a body of a man which was lying near the rail line, but without the head on.
Upon getting the information, residents notified Kisugu Police, which also contacted its counterparts in Kabalagala and rushed to the scene.
The deceased was found dressed in a blue gean pair of trouser tied with a brown belt, a blue under-pant and a t-shirt bearing words ‘Bet Dog’
On reaching there, Police started hunting for the possible culprits and in the process; two people were arrested as investigations into the matter continued.
According to the area residents, this is not the first time they have experienced such a tragic incident.
Early this year, another body of a strange man was found lying near the Railway headquarters, still without a head, and his other body parts including the penis.
Still along Entebbe road few months ago, a body also belonging to unidentified man was dumped near Lweza along Kigo Prison road and it also had its head chopped off including his private parts.
In all these trio incidents however, Police have not recovered any of their heads or even managing to identify any of the deceased.
Meanwhile, Kabalagala Criminal Investigations boss Nusurah Kemigisha is leading a team of detectives trying to ascertain how the Namuwongo man was beheaded and the possible causes.
It is however alleged that this skyrocketing kind of murder seems to be practiced by witch-doctors who want to enrich themselves as a sign of sacrifice, or it’s being conducted by a group of people with a Political motive, intending to cause fear amongst the people of Kampala.
