Mbabazi Cannot be Blocked from Delegates Conference- Muhwezi

Muhwezi, who was tasked with the accreditation and security of NRM delegates ahead of the Conference, also dispelled reports that Mbabazi and his allies would be blocked from attending the forum due to take place next month in Namboole.
The accusation which raised anxiety among Pro-Mbabazi groups within the ruling party was based on existing, personal differences between the two leaders from Kigezi.
Muhwezi has been at the forefront of those pushing for the Kyankwanzi resolution that endorsed the sole Candidature of President Yoweri Museveni while Mbabazi was rumored to nurse presidential ambitions.

But Muhwezi told journalists at parliament today that the alleged ‘personal problem’ between him and Mbabazi is a creation of the suitors. Muhwezi acknowledged that although he has often disagreed with Mbabazi on work related issues, reducing his security experience to individual interests is a delusion.
“I cannot reduce myself to a level where I am settling scores with a person and anybody who feels that I have a personal problem, it’s a figment,” he said before adding that; “I feel… almost insulted because my record in terms of security speaks for itself.”
Muhwezi added that although Mbabazi took leave as NRM Secretary General, he still qualifies as a delegate by virtue of his position as a Member of Parliament
