Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic, the Uganda Cranes tactician, says his team has a chance of qualifying for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations-Afcon if it can win its remaining two home games.

Cranes coach Micho Sredojevic knows his team will need to furiously attack Guinea nonetheless.

This comes after the Cranes beat Guinea 2-0 on Wednesday night at Mandela national Stadium, Namboole in Kampala.

Two first half goals by the University of Pretoria striker Geoffrey Massa were enough to make sure the Cranes keep their chances bright for the 2015 Afcon qualifier in Morocco.

The national team last appeared at the 1978 Afcon where they lost to hosts Ghana in the final. According to Micho, winning two home games will see the national team fulfill their dream.

Micho commended the players for working hard as a unit and the home support that pushed the players to give their best.

The Serbian born Coach said although they were aware they were facing a highly competitive team with several European based players, they decided to play as a unit to take the man of the match credit as a whole team.

The coach who also guided Uganda to qualification for the 2014 Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) said after picking four points from two games, they will need to beat Togo on October 11th, defeat the Black Stars of Ghana in the last Group game and pick up another away point or win to be comfortable for qualification.

Uganda Cranes lead Group E with four points and a better goal difference followed by Ghana who also have a similar number of points. Guinea are third with three points, while Togo are bottom with two losses.

Victory for the Cranes against Togo next month will take them to seven points after which they will need another two points to break the jinx and qualify for 2015 Afcon.
