Mitooma Couple Wanted Over Murder of Own Son

Mitooma police are hunting for a couple accused of killing their son for allegedly selling off the family mattress without their consent.
25-year-old Ronald Turinawe was reportedly clobbered to death by his parents at their home in Nyandagwe village in Kanyabwanga Sub County Mitooma district on Monday this week.
His body was secretly buried with the help of other family members. However, the area LC I chairperson Morrish Karashani reported the incident when he learnt of the murder from an eye witness.
Karashani says he followed the clues provided by the eye witness and discovered a fresh grave in the Banana plantation. He immediately notified police, which swung into action and exhumed the body.
Grace Mutono, the Mitooma district police commander says they picked up two suspects, all relatives to the deceased, adding that, they are still hunting for more suspects on the run. Mutono says information obtained from the duo shows that Turinawe was clobbered to death for stealing and selling off the family mattress.
She says the disappearance of Florence Kemirembe, the mother to the deceased, his father Charles Kashaija and elder brother Jonas Nayebare implicates them as prime suspects in the murder of Turinawe.
