MP Lyomoki Netted By Police Over Nebanda Remarks
Workers’ Member of Parliament Dr Sam Lyomoki was on Tuesday morning arrested by the police over utterances he made during the funeral of fallen Butaleja Woman Member of Parliament Cerinah Nebanda.
Lyomoki who had earlier refused to honour Police summons issued last week was nabbed by Police operatives after being tipped off that the legislator was appearing on WBS TV’s morning show.
Cerinah Nebanda passed away last month and her death has since caused uproar over the mystery surrounding her death with some leaders rejecting the autopsy report that indicated drugs such as cocaine, heroin were found in her blood samples.
In a related development, Inspector General of Police Lt General Kale Kayihura has issued a statement explaining why the lawmaker was apprehending while advising the general public to always honour Police orders.

Uganda Police Force has today, Tuesday 15 January 2013, arrested Hon. Sam Lyomoki, to assist with the on-going investigations about his conduct and utterances he made at Butunga Town Council Butaleja district on the 23rd of December 2012.
This follows Hon. Lyomoki’s failure to honor Police summons issued to him on 7th January, 2013 which required that he appears before the Commandant Special Investigations Unit, Kireka on 14 January 2013.
Hon. Lyomoki knowingly refused to report prompting his arrest by Police today.
Uganda Police advises members of the public to adhere to all lawful orders issued by Police in pursuance of an orderly society.

“Uganda Police advises members of the public to adhere to all lawful orders issued by Police in pursuance of an orderly society” This means the public should disregard unlawful orders from police. Like for instance if the reasons they are calling you for are stupid.
