Museveni hosts Muslims for Iftar Dinner
President Museveni on Wednesday evening hosted Muslims for Iftar dinner, the evening meal which they eat at the end their daily Ramadan fast at sunset.
In a statement posted on State House Facebook page, Mr Museveni congratulated them on fasting for the last 24days so far.
He informed the Muslim community that this new term of office is going to be different because government has already laid a firm foundation in sectors like in education, where the literacy rate has to be high.
Mr Museveni further noted that electricity penetration has increased, the road network has expanded across the country and there is adequate Security.
These achievements is what, according to Museveni, the government will capitalise on to maximise this foundation to propel Uganda to a middle-income nation.
“I call upon you to participate in building the economy in areas of commercial farming, manufacturing and industry,” state house quoted president Museveni telling the gathering.
Build Theological College
The President also pledged that government will assist in building a theological college of clerics at Nagalama.
