Musician Angella Katatumba on suicide watch over debts

KAMPALA – The ‘I don’t cook’—as she normally says—musician Angella Katatumba is reportedly to be not financially doing well as she is currently choking on a number of accumulating debts and reports say some creditors are apparently on her neck.

Angella Katatumba became the face of both the Katatumba family and their business after the demise of her father late. Prof. Boney Mwebesa Katatumba (RIP).

Angella was last seen mid last year with a new Land Cruiser allegedly in honour of her late father.

However, the Tonelabila (don’t forget) hit maker seems to be getting off from the ears of the public both musically and business wise.

According to our moles, the musician is reportedly financially bed ridden to a tune over sh1bn. The accumulation of these debts allegedly rose back from 2009 after she was involved in a financial fraud of sh67mn while at Hotel Diplomat in Munyonyo.

More so, other debts that are still accumulating includes; the famous Chicken tonight Video case, and New vision defamation case that is lately rising to billions.

Additionally, apparently one Samuel Bruhan is demanding a sum of sh250mn.

Stanbic Bank & Bank of Africa have also been demanding sums of money.

This according to our sources has piled more pressure on the musician and her businesses are said to be on the knees.

In fact to some extent, her lawyers had proposed to rename Hotel Diplomat.
