Mweruka To Be Arrested

Uganda Police has summoned the now ashamed news anchor Sanyu Robina Mweruka to appear and narrate how her silent sextape leaked to the public.

Police sources have revealed that Mweruka is to give relevant information to guide Investigations in establishing the persons responsible for the circulating the sex tape.
If found guilty, Mweruka may face arrest as the issues in question is contrary to the recently enacted anti pornography law which prohibits distribution of any sexually arousing material
Section 13 of the Anti-pornography Act makes it illegal for a person to produce, traffic, publishes any form of pornography and on conviction is liable to a fine of Shs10m or imprisonment not exceeding 10 years.
Section 8 of the Computer Misuse Act says: “Any person who willfully and repeatedly uses electronic communication to disturb or attempts to disturb the peace, quiet or right of privacy of any person with no purpose of legitimate communication whether or not a conversation ensues commits a misdemeanor and is liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding 24 currency points or imprisonment not exceeding one year or both”.
This comes after several personalities faced arrest in connection to pornography circulation, key examples being Producer Didi, and his sex motivated singer Pannadol W’abasajja.
Desire Luzinda and Zari Hassan were equally grilled by police last year after their nude pictures and sextapes leaked to the media.
